Artist Trading Cards for Kids

Join the Artist Trading Cards for Kids group for K - 12 students and their art teachers only. I'll post pictures of some of the ATCs, or all of them while we're still small, so you and your students can look at the finished ones that you could be trading for. Make your own cards, send me some .jpgs to post on the site, and bring the trading cards to quarterly AEI meetings where we can trade. We can also trade through the AEA van services within our own areas.

I have asked my students to label the backs of their ATCs with their first names and email addresses (only if they are comfortable with sharing that information). If you would prefer to leave the email off the backs of your students' ATCs, I understand.

Hopefully you'll have enough students interested in participating in this ATC exchange. I know my kids are very interested, and I am too. Please let me know if you'd be willing to participate in our activity by sending me an email with ATC in the subject line. Feel free to invite anybody you trust to join our group.

A few other teachers have suggested that the kids write their home town on the back of their cards along with their names and emails.

I actually began with ATCs last year when I was invited by a teacher/friend/high school classmate to send 5 cards. She collected 5 from as many different people as she could, then mixed them and chose 5 new ones for each participant. It was fun to see where they came from. Do you decorate both sides or one side?

Hi, I'm a high school visual arts teacher in Beaufort SC. I would really like to do this project with my students and have them trade with other schools. I don't know if you are interested in doing that this year, but I would love to host a few mail swaps through out the year. What do you think?
